- Rinse your pasta with water only when wanting to use it as a salad ingredient.
- When your pasta is cooked less, it’s automatically easier to digest.
- Don’t use oil when boiling your pasta, as if you want to later on pair them with sauce, it will keep slipping away.
- Preferably, use a big and tall pot to cook your pasta in, so that you can stir easily and avoid a water overflow.
- Use plenty of water for them to boil best.
- When mixing them with a sauce, keep a cup of the water they have been boiling in and add it together with the sauce, after you have of course strained your pasta. It will add a lot more to your dish. Be careful though when it comes to quantities as the water you will be using needs to be less or more, depending on the quantity of both pasta and sauce.
- When letting homemade pasta dry, don’t forget to sprinkle flour over it as you don’t want it sticking all together.
- Homemade pasta always needs less time to boil so keep that in mind while cooking.
- Add both color and flavor to your homemade pasta using vegetables such as: spinach, carrot, curcuma, beetroot or tomato.
