Description

These potatoes were a perfect match to my sausage from mani with an orange scent and my beloved cheese sauce.

The inspiration for this recipe was my Easter leftovers. It was the first time I had sausage leftovers and I couldn’t let it go to waste! That’s how I created this recipe which is perfect to cook for the next day. It’s also a perfect idea for when having Unexpected Guests over as it’s a really quick recipe as well as a great dish for a buffet at an Adult Birthday Party for 4-8prs.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes well and let them boil for 15-20 minutes in a big pot with salted water covering them, until they soften.

  2. As the potatoes are boiling, grill the sausage in an air fryer, oven or even a non stick pan.

Once it starts popping it’s ready.

Leave it on the side to cool down and then cut it in washers.

  3. Once the potatoes are ready, strain them.

Put the pot back on the oven mitt after emptying it and add some olive oil.

Add the garlic and sauté it for a bit.

    Continue with the potatoes.

  4. After sautéing the potatoes for a bit too, add the cream cheese, milk and regatta and stir. Be careful though and make soft moves as you don’t want to mash your potatoes.

  5. Once all your ingredients are mixed together well, add oregano and pepper.

  6. Lastly add the sausage pieces and your dish is ready to serve.

Notes

  • Be careful not to over cook the potatoes as we don’t want them mashing.
  • In general this type of potatoes tend to boil quickly wether you peel them or not. Keep the skin or not depending on your preference.
  • Make sure they have the same size. When you buy them they’re usually different so cut them in equal pieces so that they all boil at the same time.
  • Don’t forget to add salt to your potatoes while they’re cooking or your food might turn out tasteless. This is a general rule for when cooking potatoes.
  • Use sweet potatoes cut in cubes instead of normal ones.
  • Enrich your dish with grilled vegetables and serve it either as an appetizer or salad.
