Pastrami rolls
Ingredients
Instructions
In a pan lay a piece of anti stick paper and on top a piece of the pastry dough.
Lay the pastrami slices on top making sure you cover the whole surface.
Place the kaseri cheese and tomato on top.
Start rolling the dough, creating the final result.
At this point put it in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
Start cutting it in washers about 3cm wide and place them on the pan making sure there is enough distance between them as they'll expand while being cooked.
Spread some egg on top and sprinkle the sesame seeds.
Bake at 180C degrees on the air setting for about 20 minutes, till they turn brown.
Serve them warm.
Notes
- You can use as much pastrami as you like, depending on your preference.
- You could add herbs such as parsley or dill, thinly chopped.
- You could also add some spicy paprika if you want a spicier result.
- You could also choose to not roll the pastry dough and just add another one o top turning it into a pie.
It's a great suggestion for a "tsipouro night" or an appetizer at your New Year's eve table.
