Fish with Caper and Cherry Tomatoes
Description
If you want a quick and easy recipe that will drive you crazy with its taste you have chosen correctly. Capers give excellent taste not only to fish, but also to tomatoes. Garlic enhances the variety of flavors and the butter at the end "locks" the aromas and "ties" the sauce.
I enjoyed it without any other accompaniment and I suggest the same to you. It is a dish that impresses and tickles your palate. Along with a glass of rosé wine you will be transported in a gourmet atmosphere, as if you were eating to the most expensive restaurant.
Ingredients
Instructions
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half.
Start warming up a deep pan.
Add the olive oil, garlic, caper and fish.
Sprinkle the fish with some of the sauce and add the cherry tomatoes .
Lower the fire at 6 and turn the fish carefully using a spatula.
Cook for another 5 minutes, add the butter, drizzle it on top of the fish after it melts and serve as shown in the picture here.
Notes
- In the picture you will see a mason jar with something black in it. This is black garlic. As its a difficult and hard to find ingredient I didn't include it in the recipe, but since I myself had some, I used it. If you have or can find some definitely use it as it adds an amazing smell. Remove it before serving though.
- You will also be seeing some leaves on the image. This are caper leaves. If you have any, add them as well. These ones I have also included in the ingredient list. If you don't have any, don't worry, just skip them. The caper inside the food gives enough taste to it anyway.
- Frozen fish needs rally good straining and drying with adsorbing paper so that its liquids don't later come out in the food and especially the sauce.
- I you want you could replace olive oil by adding double the amount of butter I have listed here giving your dish a fuller and more intense taste and smell.
- For the ones wanting more of a dense sauce, add a table spoon of cream cheese and mix well before serving. remove the fish fillet so that you don't break it and add it back in before serving, after mixing the cream cheese with the rest of the ingredients.
- Some chilly flakes or spicy paprika could easily make your recipe a bit more spicy. In this case you could also use sardines instead of cod fish and serve it as an appetizer together with some ouzo on a summer night.
