Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Boil your linguini in salted water, as recommended on the packaging

  2. Once they are ready, strain them and keep a cup of the water they were boiling in.

  3. In a dry pot, add the olive oil and chopped bacon. Sauté the ingredients for a minute and throw the linguini back in the pot.

  4. Mix your eggs as you would for an omelet and pour the mixture in the pot with the rest of your ingredients.

Add the water you saved from before, the cheese and pepper.

  5. Serve your dish warm and with extra cheese on top.

Notes

  • Pick any kind of pasta you prefer and enjoy your dish.
  • Add, optionally, some fresh parsley.
  • Instead of bacon, you could also sauté charcuterie such as sausages or turkey.
  • You could also add some mushrooms
  • On my page you can find another low-fat carbonara recipe, a variation for those being careful of your calorie intake.

A really easy, fast and delicious dish for everyone. Perfect for a quick menu when you have Unexpected Guests over as well as Children's Birthday. In this last scenario you could also use penne or bow pasta, as kids love them.
