We ate the whole cake before it even cooled down. The children loved the smell and were waiting in front of the oven for it to be ready. When you try the recipe I guarantee and believe me, the same thing will be happening in your house too!
It's also a great choice to gift when visiting friends.
Butter a pan for cakes and we leave it to the side.
Pre-heat the oven to 180C degrees, on the air setting.
Blend the butter and sugar in a mixer till they turn completely white.
Then lower the speed and add the eggs one by one.
Continue with the yogurt, the orange juice and scratch, and lastly the vanilla.
We put the eggs into a bowl before we pour them into the mixture just to be sure they're good and we also don't risk parts of the eggshells falling in our mixture.
In the end, add the flour in small portions while stirring.
When the mixture is finally ready place it in the pan.
Bake it at 175C degrees placing it on a low rack in the oven for about 45 minutes.
After around 30 minutes stab it with a knife to check how it's cooking. If the knife comes out clear, it means our cake is almost ready. If it's stained we'll have to bake it for a bit more.
We repeat testing using our knife till the cake is fully baked.
Melt the baking chocolate using the bain-marie method or the microwave.
Then crumble the cookies in the melted chocolate.
Once the cake is ready, let it rest for a couple of minutes and once it cools down we drizzle the glaze on top.
If both the cake and glaze are hot it won't be able to stay on the cake.
As far as the ingredients go, we could be replacing:
